Common questions
Booking, confidentiality, and what to expect when you visit.
Can I get depression treatment near Richmond Town?
Yes, our clinic near Richmond Town offers therapy, counseling and psychiatric care for depression with MD/DNB qualified psychiatrists.
Is treatment private and confidential?
Yes. Our Richmond Town clinic provides confidential care in a judgment-free environment.
Can I see both a therapist and a psychiatrist?
Yes, our integrated team at our clinic near Richmond Town offers therapy and psychiatric medication management together when needed.
Do you serve nearby areas?
Yes, we serve Richmond Town and surrounding areas including HAL 2nd Stage, Jeevanbheema Nagar, Ulsoor, CV Raman Nagar.
Will I need to take medication?
Not always. Many people respond to therapy and lifestyle changes; medication is considered when symptoms are moderate-to-severe or therapy alone isn't enough.
How long does treatment take?
Most people see improvement in 6-12 weeks of consistent care, though depression treatment is often a longer journey.
Will my information be confidential?
Yes, all consultations are completely private and judgment-free.
Can depression affect my sex life?
Yes, depression often reduces libido and intimacy. Our integrated team can address both the mood and sexual health side together.
Is depression just weakness or overthinking?
No. Depression involves real changes in brain chemistry and function. Telling someone to 'be strong' works no better than telling someone with a fracture to walk it off. Treatment works; willpower alone usually doesn't.
Will antidepressants change my personality?
No, when they work, people say they feel like themselves again, not like someone else. Your doctor reviews the medicine regularly and adjusts if anything feels off.
Is this common, or is it just me?
It's one of the most common concerns walking into every Allo clinic. You'll be far from the first person your doctor has helped with this.
How soon will I see improvement?
Honestly: it depends on the cause, which is exactly why we diagnose first. Most patients notice change within a few weeks of the right treatment, and your doctor will give you a realistic timeline at the first visit.
